SplitFuse Frequently Asked Questions

My fused videos often stop at the border between two segments. What gives?

This is a known issue with QuickTime. Your videos were probably in MPEG format, right? Certain MPEG compression formats give QuickTime a hard time when it tries to play them back. Unfortunately, their solution is to stop the video all together. Stopping and restarting will keep the video playing, but we are working on a better solution. In the meantime, you could just convert all the MPEGs you are trying to confuse to QuickTime format before fusing them.

What kinds of video formats are supported by SplitFuse?

SplitFuse supports any video format supported by QuickTime. This includes, but is not limited to mov, DV, DiVX/avi (with appropriate codecs), mpg (including mpeg-4), and WMV (with Flip4Mac). SplitFuse does not support Real Media files.

Where is my registration code?

Registration codes are not instantaneously generated (yet). As such, it could take a day or two for you to receive your code (but usually it will be sent within a few hours). If it has taken longer than two or three days, it is a good idea to e-mail me, because I may not have received payment, or something else might have gone wrong. Please check your Junk E-mail folder if you have SPAM protection turned on. For whatever reason, my "Thank you for registering" e-mails sometimes get swept up.
